2 movers + truck from $127 an hour, 3 movers + truck from $167, 4 movers + truck from $207. The rate for your date depends on the season, the day of the week and the access. Blankets, shrink wrap, dollies, tools and basic furniture disassembly are included, so they won't show up as extra lines.

Rough ranges by home size

These are ballpark numbers for a local move with normal access, not quotes. Your written estimate is built from your actual inventory.

Studio: 2 movers, about 3 to 4 hours, roughly $380 to $510.
1 bedroom: 2 movers, about 4 to 6 hours, roughly $510 to $760.
2 bedroom: 3 movers, about 5 to 7 hours, roughly $835 to $1,170.
3 bedroom: 3 to 4 movers, about 6 to 9 hours, roughly $1,000 to $1,860.
House, 4+ bedrooms: 4 movers, often a full day or more. Send the inventory.

What pushes the price up

Stairs (a fourth-floor walk-up can add an hour or two), long carries from the truck, no parking permit, elevators that have to be shared, unpacked kitchens, and anything very heavy like a piano or a safe. Packing services and extra stops (a storage unit, a second pickup) also add time.

Dates matter too. The last days of the month, summer Saturdays and the days around September 1 are the busiest of the year.

What brings it down

Everything packed and taped before the crew arrives. Parking reserved close to the door. Beds already stripped and dressers emptied. A flexible date in the middle of the week or the middle of the month. And a complete inventory, so the right crew size shows up.

Long-distance moves
